allright guys, here's my situation:
i play cello pan at florida state university and today while loading for a gig, my C# cello got dropped. this put my low C# considerably closer to a D. one week from today (nov. 12), we have our fall concert in which i'm playing this big cool cello solo. although the solo doesn't make extensive use of the C#, it does come at pivotal moments in the phrases.
here's what i see my options as:
1. don't play the solo-i really don't even like thinking of this as an option, but if it comes down to it...
2. get the pan fixed in a week-this requires money and an available tuner, the school probably has the money, but i don't know who could do this immediate job.
3. hang one of the guitars in front of the cello and use that C#-this seems like the easiest solution so far, but its really a pain to adjust to.
please please please send me any ideas or wisdom you can on this.
