keep it simple.
don't copy nobody stuff.
run your solo base on the major scales, then continue by starting on the 3rd part of the scale, the 4th part etc, unit you establish some sort of a pattern.
no body would know but you, and you could come out smelling like a rose.

: OK guys and gals, I've gotta performance coming up. I'm the only vet playing on this particular piece, and I'm on dbl 2nds and have a solo. It's a beginner piece with some easy changes- any ideas of where I could get som inspiration?
